PTI employee’s house burgled in Noida

Noida, Mar 8 (PTI) Valuables worth over Rs 3 lakh were burgled from the residence of a senior employee of the Press Trust Of India (PTI) here last month, police said today.

The incident took place on February 17 night in the high-security Palm Grove Housing Society when Subodh Gupta and his wife were in Dubai, they said.

The burglars are yet to identified, police said, adding that Gupta was informed about the incident by his neighbours.

It is suspected that three men broke into the house, a police officer said, adding that they broke almirahs and stole cash and jewellery worth Rs 3 lakh.

Senior members of the housing society have taken up the issue with senior officers of the Noida police.

They said that the housing society has adequate CCTV cameras and security in place and demanded the police increase vigil around a park near the residential complex.
